Summary
Engineering leader and repeat founding engineer. 15 years taking startups from first hire to scale across SaaS, healthcare, and regulated domains. Built the platform behind a $220M acquisition (DriveClutch → Cox Automotive). Named inventor on U.S. Patent US10885572. Consistently the first engineering hire, building delivery organizations, product foundations, and enterprise-ready infrastructure without accumulating the technical debt that stalls growth.
Key Expertise
- Zero-to-one delivery: Build the delivery system and product foundations that increase learning rate and iteration speed early. First engineering hire at Revelation Pharma, FlowPath, and DriveClutch; built engineering org, infrastructure, and culture from scratch in each.
- Scale-phase platform leadership: Anticipate and retire scaling, reliability, and platform coherence risks before growth forces rewrites. Built the platform behind a $220M acquisition; maintained UI system coherence through three acquisitions at Terminus during 3x ARR growth ($15M to $50M).
- Product + engineering (dual-hat): Treat architecture, team structure, and roadmaps as product decisions to maximize learning rate and reduce thrash; step in as product partner (discovery, UX, prioritization) when teams don’t yet have senior product capacity. Led UX, branding, and product strategy alongside engineering; named inventor on patent US10885572.
- Regulated and compliance-aware systems: Deliver systems where trust, auditability, and workflow reliability determine adoption. Compliance-aware system design in pharma (CSOS, PDMP reporting, controlled substance payment processing for both in-store and card-not-present, DEA audit readiness), automotive, and healthcare.
Work Experience
🏷️ Revelation Pharma
Director of Engineering | March 2024 - Present
First engineering hire; built the engineering function and initial platform roadmap to support the company’s transformation into a technology-first business.
- Leading development of a greenfield platform for regulated, high-liability operational workflows, designed to be audit-ready and trustworthy by default.
- Unified fragmented pharmacy data into a centralized data lake in under two quarters, enabling data-driven reporting and integrations. First downstream win: replaced manual spreadsheet-based partner reporting with scheduled automated delivery, eliminating recurring manual workflows and improving partner-facing accuracy. Managed consultancy partnership to accelerate delivery within budget.
- Assembled and managed the first engineering hires (Sr Data, Sr Infrastructure) and ran execution for a cross-functional platform program spanning 6 internal stakeholders and 10–15 partner consultants.
- Owned the platform roadmap for scaling from 18 to 40+ pharmacies, including onboarding automation, portal consolidation for patients and prescribers, and operational tooling.
- Partnered with executive leadership on platform strategy (cloud posture, web platform direction, IoT), translating business goals into an engineering roadmap for 2x network growth and a new platform initiative.
